I am pondering – What is the basis of the world’s dynamism? How is the reality that has surrounded us developing itself very rapidly, but still so constricting? If we still stick to the old school of thoughts and proven methods never desiring to develop any other way.
We need to change our approaches to technology. Instead of focusing on developing current technological reality, we should start planning for the next generation of advanced technological reality.
I believe that the world’s dynamism is driven by human curiosity, creativity and innovation. We are constantly seeking new ways to understand, improve and transform our reality. However, we are also facing many challenges and limitations that hinder our progress and potential. Some of these challenges are external, such as environmental, social and ethical issues. Some of them are internal, such as cognitive biases, mental models and habits.
I think that one of the biggest obstacles that we need to overcome is our tendency to rely on existing solutions and paradigms, without questioning their validity, relevance and effectiveness. We often assume that what worked in the past will work in the future, or that what works for others will work for us. We are reluctant to experiment with new ideas, methods and tools, or to learn from different perspectives and disciplines. We are afraid of failure, uncertainty and change.
This mindset is especially problematic when it comes to technology. Technology is not a static entity, but a dynamic process that evolves with human needs, desires and values. Technology is not only a means to an end, but also an end in itself. Technology shapes and is shaped by our reality. Therefore, we cannot afford to be passive or reactive when it comes to technology. We need to be proactive and visionary.
We need to change our approaches to technology from incremental to radical, from adaptive to disruptive, from convergent to divergent. Instead of focusing on developing current technological reality, we should start planning for the next generation of advanced technological reality. We should envision how technology can enable us to achieve new goals, solve new problems and create new possibilities. We should anticipate how technology can affect us and our environment in positive and negative ways. We should design technology that is not only functional and efficient, but also ethical and sustainable.
This is not an easy task, but it is a necessary one. The world’s dynamism depends on our ability to innovate and adapt. The future of technology depends on our ability to imagine and create.
